My Thoughts ~ The Price of Love by Cassy Roop

20804315

Two short months before graduating high school, Kendall Jones’ world is ripped apart at the seams. A stranger rescues her from a near brutal attack, but is unable to save her parents from death. Eight years later, Kendall moves to New York, hoping to put her past behind her, and once again finds herself in need of rescue.

Tristan Price saves the life of a young woman, who then haunts his dreams for eight long years. When she literally falls at his feet, Tristan decides that he will protect her, no matter what the cost. When her past comes back to threaten her, his plan to keep her close could cost his heart.

Can Tristan save Kendall a second time, and at what cost? Can the price of love overshadow the darkness of her past?

Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as a Standalone and has a HEA.

Cassy has been a lover of all things romance from a young age. Her taste ranges from Sandra Brown to E.L. James and Sylvia Day. Writing has always been a passion, and thanks to a few great author friends, she has penned her first novel The Price of Love.

Kendall lost the most important people in her life all because of one guy. She makes a life for herself in New York with her BFF. Then she meets Tristan. She feels like she knows him but can not put her finger on it.
Tristian has been Kendalls guardian Angel for the past 8 years. He hopes she never figures out who he really is.

This story was incredible. You watch Kendal go through an abusive relationship that changes her life forever. She over comes a traumatic event in her life and creates a new life that her parents would be proud of. Then her worst nightmare comes true when the devil himself gets out of prison.
